  • Registered company name: Avenor Brands Group Ltd
  • Company registration number: 17328805
  • Place of registration: England and Wales
  • Registered office: 10 Milton Road, Grimsby, DN33 1BH, United Kingdom
  • Trading name: YammiAmi

  • Legal notices: legal@yammiami.co.uk

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Avenor Brands Group Ltd. “You” and “your” mean the person placing an order with us.

2. About these terms

These terms tell you who we are, how we will supply products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information. Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

These terms apply to consumers buying for personal use. If you are buying as a business, some of the rights described below (such as the 14-day cancellation right) do not apply to you.

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this site when you placed it.

3. Our products

We sell beginner crochet kits (amigurumi kits) and related accessories. Each kit contains the materials listed on its product page, together with access to our online video tutorials and downloadable written patterns.

Yarn colours, safety eyes and other components are shown as accurately as our photography allows, but screens vary and natural fibres differ slightly between batches. Minor variation is not a defect.

Packaging may vary from that shown in images.

4. Safety and suitability

Our kits are designed for adults and older children learning to crochet. They are not toys and are not suitable for children under 3 years old. Kits contain small parts, including safety eyes and pins, which are a choking hazard. Finished items made from our kits are likewise not tested as children’s toys and should not be given to a child under 3.

Please supervise children using our kits, and keep hooks, needles and small components away from young children and pets.

If you have a known fibre or wool allergy, please check the product page for the yarn composition before ordering.

5. Placing an order

Our website will guide you through the steps of placing an order. You may check and correct any errors before submitting it.

When you place an order we will send you an email acknowledging that we have received it. This acknowledgement does not mean your order has been accepted.

A contract between us comes into existence only when we send you an email confirming that your order has been dispatched. If we cannot accept your order — for example because the item is out of stock, because we cannot authorise your payment, because we have identified an error in the price or description, or because we are unable to deliver to your address — we will tell you and will not charge you.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) on the product page. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay.

We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on your order and our receipts do not show a VAT element. If our VAT status changes we will update this page and display our VAT number here.

Delivery is free on UK orders over £45. Below that threshold, the applicable delivery charge is shown at checkout.

We take payment at the time you place your order, using the payment methods shown at checkout. All payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store your full card details.

It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some products may be incorrectly priced. If the correct price is higher than the price shown, we will contact you before dispatch to ask whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel. If the pricing error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mispricing, we do not have to supply the product at the incorrect price.

7. Delivery

Delivery times, carriers and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We aim to deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed unless a longer period is agreed. If delivery is delayed by an event outside our control, we will contact you as soon as possible; we are not responsible for delays caused by such events, but if the delay is substantial you may contact us to cancel and receive a refund for products you have paid for but not received.

Products are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to the address you gave us. You own them once we have received payment in full.

If nobody is available to take delivery and the products cannot be posted through your letterbox, the carrier will leave a note. If, after a failed delivery, you do not rearrange delivery or collect the parcel from the depot, we may end the contract and charge you the reasonable costs of storage and any further attempted deliveries.

8. Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)

If you are a consumer, you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

Full details of how to cancel, how to return goods, who pays the return postage and when you will be refunded are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.

This cancellation right does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return once unsealed for health protection or hygiene reasons, or to digital content once you have started to download or stream it and have acknowledged that you lose your cancellation right by doing so (see section 9).

9. Tutorials, patterns and intellectual property

Every kit includes access to our step-by-step video tutorials and a downloadable written pattern. Access is provided through our guide pages, reached from the link or QR code supplied with your kit.

All content on this website and in our tutorials and patterns — including videos, written patterns, photographs, illustrations, character designs, character names and the YammiAmi name and logo — is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

When you buy a kit, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the tutorials and pattern for your own private, non-commercial crochet. You may not:

  • copy, share, resell, republish or redistribute our patterns or videos, in whole or in part, including on social media, file-sharing sites or messaging apps;
  • use our patterns, videos, photographs or character designs to produce items for sale or for any other commercial purpose;
  • remove or alter any copyright notice.

You are very welcome to share photographs of the finished items you make, and to credit us if you would like to.

Access to tutorials and patterns is digital content. Where you access it during the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel in respect of that digital content once access begins. This does not affect your right to cancel in respect of the physical kit.

We aim to keep tutorial pages available for as long as we sell the kit and for a reasonable period afterwards, but we may move, update or replace them. If a video is unavailable, please contact us and we will provide access another way.

10. Faulty or misdescribed products

We are under a legal duty to supply products that conform to this contract. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which include the right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

As a summary of some of those rights: if your goods are faulty or misdescribed, you have a right to reject them and get a full refund within 30 days of receiving them; after 30 days and up to six months you may ask for a repair or replacement, or a refund if that is not possible.

Please get in touch through our contact form with your order number and a photograph of the problem, and we will put it right. We will cover the cost of returning faulty goods.

If a component of your kit is missing or damaged, you do not need to return the whole kit — contact us and we will send a replacement part.

11. Our right to end the contract

We may end the contract for a product at any time by writing to you if you do not, within a reasonable time, allow us to deliver the products to you. If we end the contract in this situation we will refund any money you have paid in advance for products we have not provided, but we may deduct or charge you reasonable compensation for the net costs we will incur as a result.

12. Our liability to you

If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, including the right to receive products that are as described, of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and supplied with reasonable skill and care; and under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

We supply our products for domestic and private use. If you use the products for any commercial or business purpose, we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

13. Events outside our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from an event outside our reasonable control, including strikes, carrier or postal delays, failure of utilities or transport networks, fire, flood, storm, epidemic or pandemic, or acts of government.

14. Your personal information

We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you are unhappy with a product or with our service, please tell us first through our contact form. We aim to respond within two working days and to resolve complaints promptly.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service. Nothing in this section affects your right to take court proceedings.

16. Other important terms

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will always tell you in writing if this happens and will ensure that the transfer does not affect your rights under the contract.

This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.

Each paragraph of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them is unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things or prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.

These terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts. If you live in Scotland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Scottish or the English courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in either the Northern Irish or the English courts.
